The Horrors Of Snacking

I have written about my decision on becoming a body builder and you can always go back and read it Bodybuilding The Peaceful Mama. I have found this journey to be very hard and time consuming…. yet very fun and satisfying. One of my biggest challenge for me has been my diet…. OKAY fine, it’s my snacking that I’m having the most trouble. So I began my search for snacks that are healthy yet very delicious.

I always like to give a reminder to do your own research. Thing that work for me might not be for you, but I love to give choices/more options to consider. So these are so of my favorite snacks.

  1. Bark Thins are one of my favorite snacks for when I’m craving chocolate. They have different flavors for your taste buds and all made with dark chocolate.  No they are not vegan or gluten free, but they are non-GMO  and Kosher.
  2. Cacao Brew is something that I discovered recently. I don’t drink coffee so after I saw this, my husband and I went out to buy our very first coffee maker. We call it out tea maker cause that’s pretty much what we use it for. The cacao brew is a delicious all-natural coffee alternative made from the finest cocoa beans. The cocoa beans are roasted, ground and brewed just like you would coffee. The benefits are amazing too.
  • It boosts your immune system
  • It promotes weight loss                                                                                                     –
  • It’s rich in magnesium and other minerals
  • It supports brain and body chemistry

3. Hummus is mainly made with chickpeas and different ingredients are added for different flavors. To be honest, I would recommend for you to try the different flavors before you dismiss hummus all together. One of the things that I like to pair hummus with is with  Van’s Baked Crackers. Also I love getting Schar Gluten Free Bread and topping it with hummus, grated carrots and spinach. All of the above are gluten free choices.

These are just some options that you can begin with. The more I discover the more I can share with you, so I’ll keep you posted. Again, do your own research to see if any of the snacks are for you and everything in moderation is the top secret of everything.

What are some of your favorite snacks?  Share them with me in the comments below and I look forward to trying them out.

  2. I do like to snack and I have been trying to find some ways to do it where it is healthier. I enjoy hummus so I am going to eat more of that with veggies. I do have a little bit of an addiction to chocolate lol.

    • Ohhh! I just love chocolate with a capital LOVE.. hahaha.
That’s why I have two chocolate options that won’t kill calorie budgets ?
